IDEA 3D’s 3D printing technology is like the traditional ink printing system, but instead of injecting ink drops on the paper surface, the 3D printers inject and cure different photopolymer layers on the building platform. The building process is quite simple: Previous step: The software calculates automatically the exact position that both of photopolymers (support and model materials) must be injected based on a 3D CAD file. Building step: Using UV light, the 3D printer cures and solidify every thin liquid photopolymer layer. Every model is built in a different number of layers and it depends on its height. Final step: The support material must be removed using pressurized water and the 3D printed model is ready to be postprocessed, like painted if it is desired.
